Italian Food

C & O Cucina

3016 Washington Boulevard
(Washington & Thatcher, One block West of Lincoln Blvd.)
Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

Its another weekend and we revisited one of our favourite Italian resturants.

It didn't take me long to decide on the Lobster Pasta, with generous chucnks of loster tail, portebello mushrooms, asparagus spears, tomatoes, in a loster cream sauce.
Fin had a Roasted Sausage Penne with smoked mozzarella and his favoorite Hefeweizen.

After ordering, we were given a free flow of Cucina's delicious garlic bread balls ( photo above) . Yummy! We easily polished off one plate before our mains arrived.

All this while, Xinyi has been drawing with crayons on paper tablecloth, while being fed garlic bread balls by mummy. ( pending for photo by Daddy Fin ).

The portions were enough for two, and we could only finish half of our mains even though i was ravenous from the beginning.

Wanted to try the tartufo dessert, but was truely too stuffed. Maybe next time....

Chao! Time to walk off the calories by shopping at The Grove ( for mummy and Xinyi), and Samy's Camera ( for Daddy Fin).

Korean Food

Hodori
1001 S Vermont Ave,
LA, CA 90006
(213) 383-3554

Fin took Yiyi and I for lunch for a pre-Mum's Day celebration. We've been here before, so i knew i was going to order #8 Grilled Beef Ribs. Fin ordered Dumplings ( as Yiyi can eat the skin) and a Soon Tofu soup for himself.

I was already half full after the little pickled dishes. They had yummy potato salad, mung bean salad, pickled radish and of course, kimchi.

Loved their chilli powder, loved it with white rice, in Soon tofu soup, with beef ribs. It was tasty yet not spicy.

This place is much better than Tofu House, our new favorite Korean eatery.

Thai Food

Natalee Thai - 10101 Venice Blvd, LA, CA 90230
Corner of Venice and Clarington.
(310) 202-7003

No reservations required, even though it was Mother's Day. Spacious interiors with high ceilings.
We had the Roasted Half Duck, Tantalizing Sole Fish, and Deep fried Soft Shell Crab.
You'll have to ask for sides of chilli if you like spicy food (not to worry..... soft drinks are refillable).
The duck was the best we've had in LA, portion was generous. The sole fish was good as well. Skip the crab, as there was more batter than crab.

Worth coming back as I had skipped the usual Pad Thai I usually would order at a new Thai eatery.
